Arysta LifeScience Licenses Proprietary Immunoprotein Biopesticides from IPP

CARY, N.C. (March 9, 2016) – Arysta LifeScience recently signed a licensing agreement with the Institute of Plant Protection (IPP) granting Arysta LifeScience exclusive global access (excluding China) to certain protein technologies of IPP, one of which already has been successfully commercialized in China.

For more than 10 years, IPP, part of the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Science (CAAS), has been developing a platform for selecting, identifying, quantifying and patenting plant immunity inducers derived from fungal pathogens.

New Arysta products for Spanish and Portuguese markets

In January 2016, Arysta LIfeScience held a customer event in Lisbon, Portugal during which many new developments were presented to Iberian customers, including a rapidly expanding product portfolio that has resulted from the Arysta consolidation. Herbicides, like SELECT® MAX and RANGO®, are already available on Spanish and Portuguese market, and lot more are expected to be launched including acaricides, biocontrol and many other.

On the technical side, an expert from the Valencian Institute of Agricultural Investigation (IVIA) presented the results of a project designed to control the Alternaria brown spot disease on mandarins using SYLLIT® FLOW. The use of SYLLIT® FLOW for this purpose is a success story born in Spain and it has resulted in a label extension for this application in southern European countries.
